CediDesk: terms of use
What this site is, how it is paid for, and what it does not promise.
Updated Oct 2026 · how we rate brokers
External links
We link to regulators, exchanges, central banks and brokers. Those sites are outside our control and we are not answerable for what they publish; linking to them is not an endorsement, and that applies especially to links to warnings about a firm.
The links that matter most here are the ones to the SEC Ghana register and to a broker's own terms, because those are the documents that decide the question, and ours is only a reading of them. Whenever the source and this site are at odds, the source is correct, and we want to be notified of it.
Where the line runs
- General information about how licensing and trading work
- That is what this site publishes
- A recommendation of a broker, a pair or a position size
- Not here, and not by mail
- Anything adjusted to your income, debts or tolerance for loss
- We do not know them and never ask
- Advice as the SEC Ghana defines it
- A regulated activity; we are not licensed for it
If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Ghana authorises to give it.
Permission to reuse
Read it, print it, quote it with a link back. You must not republish entire pages as your own, nor scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere. The register extracts belong to nobody and come from public records; it is our writing that surrounds them.
Questions about reuse, and anything else about these terms: [email protected].
| Step | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · You write | The page address and what the correct value is | Any time |
| 2 · We check it | Against the public source you name, not against our own page | Same week |
| 3 · The page changes | The figure is replaced and the page says it was corrected | With the date on it |
A number is never quietly edited to leave the page looking as though it always said that.
Information only
Everything on CediDesk is general information about how forex trading and broker licensing work in Ghana. It does not constitute financial advice, a recommendation or an offer. Nothing here is adjusted to your income, your obligations or your tolerance for loss, none of which we know.
Giving investment advice in Ghana is a regulated activity. We do not hold a licence for it and do not carry it on. If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Ghana authorises to give it.

What funds this site
Some outbound links to brokers are partner links: if you open an account through one, we may be paid by the broker. No additional cost applies to you, and nothing on this site is changed by the payment. The register extract is copied from the regulator, and no firm can pay to appear in it, to be removed from it or to have its status described differently.
Every partner link is marked sponsored in the markup, with a label showing where the link goes. No editorial placement is sold by us, and brokers are not ranked.
| Party | What it sees | Why it is there |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Pages | The request, your IP and browser string, in its own logs | It serves the files |
| api.gold-api.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| api.binance.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| api.twelvedata.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| api.coinbase.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| The broker, after you follow a partner link | Whatever its own site collects, under its own policy | You left this site |
None of it passes through us, and we build no profile from any of it.
Checked, but not guaranteed
Registers change daily, brokers change their terms, and a page is a snapshot of the day it was written. Every item we publish is dated and attributed to its origin, allowing you to check it at the source, the only version that is current.
We do not warrant that the site is complete, error-free or uninterrupted. Where a figure matters to a decision about money, check it against the SEC Ghana register or the broker's own documents before you act on it.
| What it is | How it is marked | Who pays |
|---|---|---|
| A partner link to a broker | Marked sponsored, behind a label saying where it goes | The broker may pay us if you open an account |
| The register extract | Copied from the regulator | Nobody can pay to be in it, out of it, or described differently |
| Everything else on the page | Not for sale | No editorial placement, no paid ranking |
You pay nothing extra for using a partner link, and the payment changes nothing on the page.
Money at risk
Leveraged forex and CFD trading can lose you more than a small share of your deposit, quickly. Most retail accounts lose money. Being licensed means a firm is supervised. It does not mean your money is protected from trading losses, and nothing on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise.
Supervision, and solvency, are questions that differ from whether a position goes against you. A SEC Ghana licence speaks to how a firm must hold client money, report and handle complaints; it says nothing about the market. Below is the arithmetic that decides how long a position survives, and it does not vary between brokers: leverage sets the margin, and the margin sets how small a move takes it.
What would make this page change
- An analytics tool, a pixel or a tag manager
- Page changes before it ships, not after
- A form, a comment box or a login
- Page changes, and says what the form stores
- A saved preference, even a harmless one
- Page changes: that is local storage
- A new price or image service called by your browser
- Named on this page, with what it sees
- Nothing of the sort added
- Page stays as it is, and so does the date on it
Everything above is checkable without trusting us: the storage and network tabs of your own browser say what any page here actually does.
