Updated Oct 2026 · how we rate brokers

Information, never advice

We will not tell you what to buy, when to buy it, how much to risk or which broker to open an account with. That is advice, it is regulated in Ghana, and we are not licensed to give it. Mail asking for it gets a polite no.

What we will do is explain how something on this site was worked out, point at the public source behind a claim, or fix a page that reads as though it were advice.

Where the line runs

General information about how licensing and trading work
That is what this site publishes
A recommendation of a broker, a pair or a position size
Not here, and not by mail
Anything adjusted to your income, debts or tolerance for loss
We do not know them and never ask
Advice as the SEC Ghana defines it
A regulated activity; we are not licensed for it

If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Ghana authorises to give it.

Business and partner mail

Advertising, link placement and content partnerships: the answer is no, and the same address takes it. Disclosed on every page that uses it, one commercial relationship is carried by this site, which does not sell placement in anything that appears editorial.

Press and researchers are welcome. Let us know what you are working on and what you need.

What this address can and cannot do

Correct a wrong figure, date or licence number
Yes — send the source you checked
Explain how a number on a page was worked out
Yes
See, move or recover money in a trading account
No — this is not a broker
Release a withdrawal or settle a dispute with a firm
No — the broker's own support first, then the SEC Ghana
Say what to buy, when, or which broker to use
No — that is regulated advice
Sell a link, a review or a placement
No

Where a firm is not on the SEC Ghana register, the regulator has no power to help either — which is the reason this site exists.

How to reach us

The address is [email protected]. Most mail gets a reply from us within two working days, and everything we receive is read. It costs nothing to write to us and no account is needed: there is no login, no newsletter and no customer records.

Where your message is about a particular page, put the page address in the subject line. To have the right person read it, this is the fastest approach.

How a correction travels
StepWhat happensWhen
1 · You writeThe page address and what the correct value isAny time
2 · We check itAgainst the public source you name, not against our own pageSame week
3 · The page changesThe figure is replaced and the page says it was correctedWith the date on it

A number is never quietly edited to leave the page looking as though it always said that.

Reporting an error

A correction is the most useful mail we get. If a figure, a licence number or a date on this site is wrong, tell us what it should be and where you checked it - the SEC Ghana register, the broker's own terms, a regulator's notice.

The page is corrected by us, and a note on it records the correction and its date. No number is changed in silence while the page still appears as if it had always shown that value.

What we cannot help with

We are not a broker and we are not the Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana. We cannot see your trading account, move your money, reset a password, release a withdrawal or intervene in a dispute. There is no access to any of that for anyone who writes to this address.

If your money is with a firm, your broker's own support is the first step and the SEC Ghana is the second. If a firm is not on the SEC Ghana register, the regulator has no power to help you either, which is the whole reason this site exists.

How quickly do you reply?
Within two working days, most mail is answered. Corrections are read first, since a wrong number on a money page is the one thing worth dropping everything for.
Can you recover money I lost with a broker?
No. Neither do we hold client funds nor have standing with any firm. The SEC Ghana is the body with powers here, and only over firms on its register.
Will you review my broker?
We do not rank or review brokers. We publish what the SEC Ghana register says and how to read it, so the check stays yours.
